Do you feel the weather getting cooler? Are the days getting shorter? Fatigue is building up, but don't worry, Autumn is just around the corner! The Bdreams team gives you all its tips for getting this period off to a good start, sleeping better, and getting back in shape in preparation for winter!
1. Have a bedtime ritual
Returning to work or school is often difficult after the beautiful summer we've had. Routine takes over, the days get shorter, the temperatures drop, and fatigue slowly sets in. That's why, to enjoy quality sleep, we recommend developing an evening routine. What should it consist of? First, you'll need to set a bedtime to stick to so you get between 7 and 9 hours of sleep each night—the key to a great day. If you tend to get stressed about returning to work, a gentle, relaxing activity like yoga or meditation can be tailored to your needs and provide a real decompression chamber before heading home. A nice hot herbal tea and a book are better than screens to keep your brain cool.
2. Take care of your diet
When it's cold, we tend to favor sweeter and fatty foods, however these will complicate your digestion, especially if you eat them in the evening. Get into the habit of eating at least 3 hours before going to bed and in autumn, favor less filling meals like soups, seasonal vegetables (carrot, butternut, pumpkin, leeks etc.) and stock up on vitamins with fruit, but be careful not in the evening to avoid sugar.
3. Adjust the room temperature
During this season, it can be tempting to turn up the radiators in your bedroom. However, if your bedroom temperature is too high, it can disrupt your sleep. To sleep well, the ideal temperature is between 16°C and 19°C to ensure a deep sleep and promote natural body temperature regulation. Even if it's colder, opt for a more cozy duvet like the Bdreams Harmonie duvet . Saving energy during this time of year will be appreciated both for the planet and for your wallet!
4. Adopt good bedding for autumn nights
Whatever the time of year, quality bedding is essential for restful sleep: a mattress that matches your body shape, a pillow suited to your sleeping habits, a temperate duvet , etc.
To get through Autumn, Bdreams offers you the Soft mattress topper . It will provide you with soft, enveloping comfort to keep you warm and transform your bed into a "cozy nest" into which you will want to dive at the end of the day!
