Tip #3: Sleep well to boost your morale
Monday is rarely my favorite day of the week. It's the weekend over, back to work or school... But Monday, January 17th, known as "Blue Monday," is apparently the worst! It's even considered the most depressing day of the year. So what can you do to brighten up this particular Monday? The Bdreams team has some tips for you!
2. Tip #1: Take breaks to avoid overwork
If you work without resting, you'll end up exhausted and quickly feel overwhelmed. The short breaks you'll give yourself today will help you clear your mind and bring you a sense of well-being linked to relaxation. For this, we recommend a 15- to 30-minute nap during lunchtime—a restorative sleep to boost your afternoon!
3. Tip #2: Get moving and exercise
Exercising helps reduce anxiety and stress, and when combined with a healthy, balanced diet, you can help your body and mind release a lot of tension. Allow yourself 20 to 30 minutes today for a light jog, for example.
4. Tip #3: Sleep well to boost your morale
Because there's nothing better than a restful night to put you in a good mood. It's recommended to get 7 to 8 hours of sleep per night for adults and 9 to 11 hours for teenagers. Don't linger on your smartphone; screens before bed are not recommended; the light emitted by these devices slows the production of melatonin (the sleep hormone). To sleep through the night, sleep in a dark and quiet room. Also, remember to go to the bathroom before bed to reduce the risk of waking up in the middle of the night.
Because there's no reason today has to be so depressing!
Bdreams wishes you the best of Blues Mondays and a great mood! A good night's sleep and you'll be ready to start a great new day!
